NOTICE: Suspected case of COVID-19 at Oilton High School
We regret to inform you that a student in Oilton High School is a suspected case of COVID-19. Several students and staff members were in close contact with this individual. The case has been investigated by school administration, the Creek County Health Department and Oklahoma State Department of Health officials. Currently, we are following CDC guidelines and protocols set by the Oklahoma State Department of Health and our school district, to decrease potential spread.
Due to the number of staff and students involved with quarantine, the High School will immediately switch over to a distance learning platform. Parents will be notified with instructions regarding resuming in-person classes. All individuals that are identified as contacts to the suspected case will need to quarantine at home for 14 days and will be contacted by the health department with instructions.
Should your child start exhibiting COVID related symptoms, it is strongly recommended that you contact their primary care physician or the local health department to have them tested immediately. Individuals that have had an exposure and do not display symptoms may consider being tested to prevent the spread to others.
